Cheap Car Insurance

Unfortunately, CaptainCompare does not currently compare car insurance and cannot currently provide advise on car insurance products offered by other companies. Please come back in June 2010.
Captain Compare was in a fender bender!
Yes, even I make mistakes. I parked the car at Coles supermarket and left the handbrake off since I was in a deep conversation with my friend Luke about women. While I walked away, a fellow driver started beeping her horn vigorously which startled me. I turned around to notice my car was rolling down the hill towards a bus shelter! Luckily, a Toyota Camry intercepted it and damage was done only to the Camry’s bumper, not the bus shelter. (Bus shelters cost a fortune you know). Although it probably wasn’t a smart thing to do, the damage was compensated for without using a car insurance company on this occasion.
Have you ever compensated some for damage you’ve done to their car? Or have you ever let someone compensate you without using a cheap car insurance company? Please let me know in the comments field at the bottom of this page. Thank you.
Message from Captain compare
The staff at Captain Compare would like to remind you that we are not qualified financial services professionals and therefore cannot go into details such as product disclosure statements. However, we can say that no matter what car insurance choice you make, you need to read the product disclosure statement carefully. In other words, read the fine print so you know what is included and not included.

Is comparison finally coming to Australia?
Captain Compare has heard on the grape vine that car insurance comparison is finally becoming a reality in Australia. The UK and USA have both had quite mature comparison websites whilst Australia has been missing out. Not for much longer! Stay tuned for more updates.

Finding a good car insurance price
