Tata Nano Launched. World’s Cheapest Car

Today (10^th January, 2008) Tata Motors has launched the world’s cheapest car - “Tata Nano.” The car was unveiled by Ratan Tata, Chairman of Tata Group, inAuto Expo today. The car is priced at Rs. 1 lac (Rs. 100,000) for the dealers. The car will be commercially launched in second half of 2008.

• Width: 1.5 Meters
• Height: 1.6 Meters
• Seating Capacity: 5
• Space Comparison with Maruti 800: Lengh is 20% less, Volume is 20% more
• Engine: 623 CC, 33 Bhp, 2 Cylinder, Rear Mounted
• Transmission: 4 Gear Manual
• AC: Rs. 1 Lac version will not have AC. Deluxe version will have AC.
• Max Speed: 100 Kmph
• Fuel Efficiency: 20-23 Kmpl
• Price: Rs. 1 Lac (dealer price without VAT)
